Frequently Asked Questions

Our standard subscription is designed to connect to your most important tools right away. Every plan includes:

One (1) Commercial Connector Agent: You can choose any single agent from our library of supported enterprise platforms (e.g. Tricentis Tosca, qTest, Test Rail). This allows you to integrate analytiQa with your primary commercial testing tool.

The Open-Source Connector Agent: This versatile agent is always included and is built to collect data from a wide variety of open-source frameworks that supports NUnit or JUnit test result formats. (e.g. pytest, Playwright etc.)

This combination ensures you get a comprehensive view of your quality landscape by integrating with both your core engineering pipeline and your key commercial platform from day one.

Additional Commercial Agents can be added at any time.

That’s a great question! At Qualtiva, we are committed to expanding the analytiQa ecosystem. Our roadmap for new connector agents is heavily driven by the needs of our customers.

analytiQa’s flexible architecture enables rapid agent creation—spinning up tailored solutions in days (not weeks) to keep pace with evolving data needs.

If an agent for your specific technology isn’t available yet, we strongly encourage you to contact us. Understanding your requirements helps us prioritize our development schedule.

No, analytiQa is a fully cloud-native platform. We made this decision deliberately to provide the best possible experience for our customers.

Our Software with a Service (SwaS) model means you get the latest features, security updates, and performance improvements instantly, without any maintenance overhead or complex installation. We manage the infrastructure, security, and scalability 24/7 so your team can focus on what they do best: improving quality.

At Qualtiva, the security and privacy of your data is our highest priority. We have implemented a multi-layered security strategy based on industry best practices to ensure your data is protected at all times.

Here are the key pillars of our security approach:

Data Encryption
In transit: Encrypted using TLS 1.2 or above.
At rest: Encrypted using the AES-256 encryption.

Secure Infrastructure & Data Residency
Our entire platform is built on world-class, secure cloud infrastructure provided by Digital Ocean. To meet data sovereignty requirements, we offer several geo-regional locations where your tenant and data can be hosted. The location is selected during the provisioning process. If you have specific requirements, please don’t hesitate to reach out and speak with us—we’re here to help tailor a solution that fits your needs.

Strict Access Control
Customer-Side: analytiQa has built-in Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), allowing you to define granular permissions and ensure your team members can only see the data relevant to their role.
Internal Access: Access to production systems by Qualtiva personnel is strictly limited to a small number of authorized engineers. Any access is logged and audited.

Regular Audits & Best Practices
We conduct regular security assessments, updates and vulnerability scanning of our application and infrastructure to identify and patch potential issues proactively.

Our development lifecycle follows security best practices to ensure our code is robust and resilient against common threats.

We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of security. If you have any specific security or compliance questions, please don’t hesitate to contact our team for more detailed information.

As a global company, we give our customers flexibility and control over where their data is stored to ensure optimal performance and compliance with regional data sovereignty laws, such as the GDPR in Europe.

Your data is hosted in one of our secure, geographic regions. When signing up, enterprise customers can choose their preferred data residency location. Our primary hosting regions are:
Americas (AMS): San Francisco, USA
Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA): Frankfurt, Germany
Asia-Pacific (APAC): Sydney, Australia

Each region is built on world-class, secure infrastructure from Digital Ocean. If you have specific data residency requirements, please contact us to discuss your needs.

analytiQa is designed for a rapid and flexible setup, allowing most of our customers to see their first data points in under an hour (once the agent and tenant installation have been provisioned).

The process is straightforward:

  1. Qualtiva provisions your dedicated cloud instance (< 1-day)
  2. Connect Your First Data Source: Connecting your test data is simple and depends on your tools:
    • Commercial Tools (like Tricentis Tosca): This involves installing our lightweight analytiQa connector agent on your system. Our consultants will walk you through the simple configuration to connect it to your specific tool. (2-hours)
    • Open-Source Frameworks: No agent installation is needed. You simply add a step to your CI/CD pipeline or test script to securely send your result files to your dedicated analytiQa listener (authenticated HTTPs). You have full control over the schedule, sending data immediately after each run or at an interval that best suits your workflow.
  3. See Your First Insights (Immediately after the first data push): As soon data is sent to analytiQa, you will immediately see the results populate your pre-built visualizations and dashboards.

While initial setup is fast, the strategic power of analytiQa grows over time. After a few days of collecting data, our platform will begin to uncover meaningful trends, identify flaky tests, and provide deeper diagnostic insights.

Yes, absolutely. analytiQa includes a powerful and flexible Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) system designed to give you granular control over your data.

As an administrator, you can create custom roles (e.g., “Developer,” “QA Lead,” “Manager,” “Stakeholder”) and assign specific permissions to each. This allows you to control not just which dashboards a user can see, but also what actions they can perform, such as viewing, editing, or creating.

Commercial Connector Agents

Our connector agents are designed to be lightweight with a minimal footprint. The requirements vary slightly depending on the agent integration method you are using.

Minimum system requirement:

  • Operating System: Windows 11, Server 2019+
  • CPU & Memory: A single CPU core and 2 GB of RAM are sufficient for most workloads.
  • Disk Space: Will vary depending on the connector agent. Example: Our Tosca connector agent will require the same amount of disk space as a Tosca Commander or Dex agent machine – Typically, this is the total size of the common repository.
  • Software:
    • fluentd is required to transmit data from your network to your analytiQa instance.
  • Network: An outbound internet connection over HTTPS (port 443) to communicate with the analytiQa cloud platform. No inbound ports are required to be opened on your firewall.
Open-Source Frameworks

This method does not require installing a persistent connector agent or background service on your system. The requirements are based on your CI/CD or test execution environment:

  • Execution Environment: Any modern CI/CD runner (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps) or a machine with basic scripting capabilities.
  • Tooling: A command-line tool capable of sending an HTTP POST request, such as curl (available on virtually all Linux, macOS, and modern Windows systems).
  • Network: The runner or machine executing the script must have an outbound internet connection over HTTPS (port 443) to send the result files to your dedicated analytiQa endpoint.

For detailed instructions on a specific connector agent or integration, our team will be happy to support.

If you have questions about a unique environment, feel free to contact our support team.

Yes, absolutely. We understand that your needs can change as your team grows and your testing strategy evolves. You have the flexibility to change your analytiQa plan at any time by reaching you the Qualtiva team.

Here’s how it typically works:

  • Upgrading Your Plan: When you upgrade to a higher tier, the change is effective immediately. You’ll get instant access to the new features and increased limits, and you will be charged a pro-rata amount for the remainder of your current billing cycle.
  • Downgrade Your Plan: When you downgrade to a lower tier, the change will take effect at the end of your current billing cycle. You will retain access to your current plan’s features until that date, after which your account will be moved to the new plan and billed at the lower rate on your next renewal date.

If you have any questions about which plan is right for you, please don’t hesitate to contact our support team. We’re happy to help you find the perfect fit.

While we aim to provide an unlimited experience, a fair use policy applies. If stored test data exceeds 10GB, we’ll reach out to understand your use case and explore suitable options together.

Once your subscription ends, your tenant will remain active but disabled for 7 days, giving you time to renew or export any necessary data. After 30 days, all stored data will be permanently deleted and purged from our systems as part of our data retention policy.
